  2. Occupational safety and health management in the construction sector

    This course aims at strengthening capacity to devise and use an occupational safety and health (OSH) management approach within construction firms.

  3. Global Dialogue Forum on Conditions of Personnel in Early Childhood Education

    22 - 23 February 2012, Geneva, Switzerland

    The purpose of the Forum is to address issues identified in the international study on the employment and working environment in early childhood education prepared by the ILO.

  4. 30th International Congress on Occupational Health

    18 - 23 March 2012, Cancun, Mexico

    The 30th Congress of the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH) will bring together occupational health researchers and practitioners from all over the world to share and learn from each other the most current advances in the field of occupational health. The theme of the congress is "Occupational health for all: From research to practice" and is based on the belief that all workers require health protection to prevent any occupational disease or injury as part of their human and labor rights.

  5. Training "Identifying and investigating cases of forced labour and trafficking"

    16 - 20 April 2012, ILO International Training Centre Turin, Italy

    This course will train participants to better identify and investigate cases of forced labour and trafficking in persons for labour exploitation. It will address different stages of the investigative process, including detecting signs, inspecting workplaces, interviewing victims, and gathering other evidence. The course will focus on forced labour occurring in the private sector (including of textile, agriculture, and domestic workers), but will not specifically address sexual exploitation.

  6. SOLVE training of trainers: Integrating health promotion in occupational safety and health policies

    28 May - 8 June 2012, International Training Centre of the ILO, Turin, Italy

    The overall objective of this course is to develop knowledge and skills that will lead to the integration of the psychosocial and health promotion issues into a comprehensive enterprise policy and establish a framework for preventative action. This course will be held in French.

  7. Occupational safety and health management in the enterprise

    4 - 15 June 2012, International Training Centre of the ILO, Turin, Italy

    The general objective of the course is to strengthen the capacity for the implementation and development of OSH management practices in enterprises.

  8. World Day Against Child Labour 2012

    12 June 2012, Worldwide

    This year the World Day Against Child Labour will provide a spotlight on the right of all children to be protected from child labour and from other violations of fundamental human rights. In 2010 the international community adopted a Roadmap for achieving the elimination of the worst forms of child labour by 2016, which stressed that child labour is an impediment to children’s rights and a barrier to development. World Day 2012 will highlight the work that needs to be done to make the roadmap a reality.

  9. XIX International AIDS Conference

    22 - 27 July 2012, Washington, D.C.

    ILO/AIDS is participating to the conference which will take place in Washington, D.C. on 22-27 July 2012 under the theme "Turning the Tide Together".
